Self-Sabotage and Procrastination
When the day ends but your list hasn’t moved…
It’s late at night. The dishes are still in the sink, the email you’ve been meaning to send for three days is still a draft, and the quiet voice in your head says the same thing it said last night:
I should be further along by now. Why can’t I just do this?
You started the morning with real intentions. By evening, the intentions are buried under guilt and the weight of everything unfinished.
From the outside, it looks like a discipline problem. From the inside, it feels like an internal tug-of-war you lose every single day.
This isn’t laziness. Something in you is working very hard, just not in the direction you want it to go.

There’s fear underpinning the delay.
Procrastination is rarely about the task. It’s about what the task represents.
For many of the people I sit with, the task carries the fear of failure, or something even quieter and harder to name: the fear of success. The fear of outgrowing a role, disappointing a family, or becoming someone your younger self wouldn’t recognize.
So a part of you pumps the brakes. It loves you. It’s trying to keep you safe. And it’s exhausting you.
We don’t ignore or suppress these parts of you because they’re very valuable.

But we do need to update your system.
In our sessions, we go beneath the surface of the delay to listen for what that protective part is actually trying to say.
Together, using NLP, clinical hypnosis, EFT, and somatic work, we begin what I call a system update: little by little, we speak to the part of you that learned, long ago, that slowing down was safer than moving forward.
We don’t force it. We don’t shame it.
We work with your inner pressure cooker until the pressure eases, and your body starts to believe that taking action is no longer a threat.
That opens up a whole new way of life.
From that calmer place, follow-through stops feeling like a fight. It starts feeling like the most natural next step.
Clients tell me things like:
I can see the trees again.
I’m not numb anymore.
I have my life back.
The project is finished. The message gets sent. The day ends without the guilt spiral.
Let’s turn your someday into your new starting point.
