Frequently Asked Questions

My practice is 100% online, allowing you to begin your journey toward peace from the comfort and privacy of your own safe space. Whether you are at home or in your favorite quiet corner, I bring the ‘CoreBond sanctuary’ to you via a secure, easy-to-use video platform.

It’s much simpler than you might think! Once you book a session, you’ll receive a secure link via email. At our scheduled time, just click the link on your computer, tablet, or phone – no downloads or complex setups required. We’ll meet face-to-face in a private, HIPAA-compliant virtual room where we can talk, connect, and work together just as we would in person.

Standard individual and couples sessions typically last 50 minutes. This timeframe allows us to dive deep into our work while leaving space for you to transition mindfully back into your day. Longer sessions for intensive work may be available upon request.

Taking the first step is simple.

You can schedule a free 15-minute consultation directly through my website. This initial conversation allows us to ensure we are a good fit and gives you a chance to ask any questions before we begin our journey together.

It is a 15-minute, no-obligation conversation designed to serve as a gentle bridge into our work together. This brief call allows us to discuss your goals and ensure that my therapeutic approach aligns with your specific needs. It’s the ideal time to see if you feel comfortable with my style of accompaniment and to ask any practical questions before we begin your journey toward peace.

I primarily work with adults and young adults (18+). My practice is tailored to the unique developmental transitions and life challenges that arise during these stages of life, focusing on building long-term emotional resilience.

Yes, yes, and yes. I welcome individuals of all genders and specialize in working with couples. Whether you are seeking to heal personal wounds or transform the dynamic in your relationship, my space is one of equity and respect for all identities.

My academic foundation is global and diverse, reflecting my commitment to a deep understanding of the human experience.

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School at Dallas, as well as a Master’s in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) from Centro de PNL in Mexico.

With over 10 years of experience as a therapist in both Mexico and the United States, my background is enriched by specialized certifications in:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Externship
  • Bioneuroemotion (trained by Enric Corbera)
  • Family Constellations (basic training with Sophie Hellinger)
  • Hypnotherapy and NLP Practitioner certification

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) in Texas, currently practicing under the clinical supervision of Stephen Kim.

The most successful outcomes happen when you show up with curiosity and a commitment to yourself. Being open to the process, practicing your between-session tools, and maintaining honesty in our ‘No Secrets’ space will accelerate your journey toward peace and clarity.

I call it ‘Cultural X-Ray Vision.’ Because I’ve lived and worked in both Mexico and the U.S., I can see the invisible threads of culture, language, and family history that shape who you are. I don’t just hear your words; I understand the world you’re coming from.

While I have a deep respect for cats’ independence, my heart belongs to dogs, specifically our Cavalier, Lucky. He is our charming therapy-dog-in-training, who gets busy mastering his commands every day, but his favorite activities are long walks with his grandma and, of course, the tasty treats he earns during our practice sessions. One day, he’ll be here to offer his own quiet brand of comfort and paws-on support!

Additional Questions and Answers

We look at the past only as long as it helps us understand the present. Our focus is always on creating a future where you feel empowered, light, and fully connected to your authentic self.

Not at all. Many of my clients arrive feeling a general sense of ‘heaviness’ or ‘stuckness’ without knowing exactly how to name it. You don’t need a formal diagnosis or a perfectly scripted ‘problem’ to begin. My role is to help you navigate through the fog and identify the root causes together, in a safe and supportive container.

Absolutely. I am fully bilingual, and I honor the fact that emotions often live in our native language. Whether you prefer to speak primarily in English, Spanish, or a mix of both (Spanglish), I am here to meet you exactly where you feel most comfortable. Language should be a bridge to your healing, not a barrier.

Absolutely. My virtual space is designed to be a ‘digital sanctuary.’ While we are separated by a screen, the emotional ‘attunement’ and the deep work of EFT and NLP remain just as powerful. Many clients find they can open up even more deeply because they are in the comfort of their own environment, surrounded by their own comforts (and maybe even their own pets!)

Most likely essential oils, my latest travel obsession, or where to find the perfect ‘Cafecito.’ I’m a firm believer that our surroundings – the scents we breathe and the places we explore – deeply impact our internal peace. I’m always looking for little ways to turn everyday life into a sanctuary.

That ‘rest is a form of resilience.’ We often think we have to keep fighting to be strong, but true strength comes from knowing when to return to your ‘harbor’ to refuel. It’s a philosophy I bring into every session at CoreBond Therapy.
